A road runs along its entire perimeter: 45 kilometers of breathtaking views. Granites and porphyries delimit jagged stretches, inlets, coves and beaches, while in the hinterland there are gentle hills.
Cala Spalmatore is not to be missed: two pink granite rock promontories dotted with wild flora shelter three small beaches of golden sand, sheltered from the winds, overlooking a sea with a gently sloping seabed and a transparent blue color. Three kilometers from the center is the Cala Francese fjord: between the Mediterranean scrub and the granite quarry, you will discover silent coves and dream beaches.
Easily reachable by following the panoramic road that starts from the center of Spiaggia Testa del Polpo, it is a real paradise for children: shallow waters, clear and crystalline sea surround the beach of fine white sand, while a rock with a curious shape, similar to the head of a octopus, dominates it from above.
From Maddalena you can set out to discover the other pearls of the archipelago.
